GPS Location
What are GPS coordinates?
GPS coordinates are a unique identifier of a precise geographic location on the earth, usually expressed in alphanumeric characters. GPS coordinates are usually expressed as the combination of latitude and longitude.
How can I register my locations in the system?
During the setup phase, our team will ask for the GPS coordinates in (lat, long) format. The number of locations allowed depends on how many licenses you have purchased.
Can I change my locations within the annual license period?
Yes, you can request this to our customer support or your dedicated account manager.
Do you have global coverage?
Yes, we have global coverage and can register any GPS coordinates in the world.
Data Parameters
How are the data used in the system?
You choose the relevant data and it will be translated to analytics, reports and alerts by our system.
How many data parameters are available?
Each license contain a number of allowed data parameters. We have 250+ data parameters ingested into the system that you can choose from.
What are the data parameters ingested into the system?
Each data category contains multiple parameters, the categories of data include:
- Weather
- Severe Weather
- Solar
- Air Quality
- Marine
- Soil & Agriculture
- Earthquakes
- Lifestyle Indices
- Sensors & IOT
- Custom Datasets
Can I change data parameters within the annual license period?
Yes, you can request this to our customer support or your dedicated account manager.
Can I get more information about the data parameters including its quality and resolution?
Yes, please contact us and we'll provide you more information.
Threat Monitor Dashboard
How to use the Threat Monitor Dashboard?
This is an online web-based application that you can access using a browser. The concept of the Threat Monitor Dashboard is to visualize the threat of multiple locations in just one simple view based on the chosen data parameters.
What are the thresholds of each data parameter?
The default thresholds for each parameter are based on existing case studies and accepted rules of science and technology.
Can you change the thresholds?
Yes, you can request this to our customer support or your dedicated account manager.
Can this be accessed private or public?
The standard license is set to "private" with a username and password for every user. There are additional fees if you plan to set the dashboard to "public".
Site Analysis Dashboard
How to use the Site Analysis Dashboard?
This is an online web-based application that you can access using a browser. The concept of the Site Analysis Dashboard is to see a detailed risk analysis of a single location based on the chosen data parameters.
Is this connected to the Threat Monitor Dashboard?
If you have multiple locations registered in the system, this becomes a part of the Threat Monitor Dashboard to drill down from multiple location view to single site analysis view. The data parameters and thresholds of both systems are the same.
Can this be accessed private or public?
The standard license is set to "private" with a username and password for every user. There are additional fees if you plan to set the dashboard to "public".
Portal Users
What are being accessed by the portal users?
The number of portal users are based on the licenses you have purchased. This users can access the Climate Operations Center that contains the Threat Monitor Dashboard, Site Analysis Dashboard and other analytics in the system.
Can you change portal users within the annual license period?
Yes, you can request this to our customer support or your dedicated account manager.
Can I share my access to others?
No, this is not allowed. Our system will do an IP whitelist to prevent users from sharing access.
Early Warning Alert Credits & Recipients
How are early warning alerts disseminated?
The early warning alerts are disseminated based on the data parameters and programmed thresholds set in the Climate Operations Center that contains the Threat Monitor Dashboard and Site Analysis Dashboard.
What are the delivery methods?
The standard delivery method is SMS and Viber but you can extend to other methods like Telegram Group, Whatsapp and other messaging platforms depending on your license package.
How many phone numbers recipients allowed?
There is no limit to the phone number recipients but there is a limit on the number of credits.
How does the credits work?
1 credit is equals to 1 successful sent to a phone number recipient. Early warning alerts are based on a triggered event (not an everyday thing) so the allocated credits for each license is a reasonable estimate. The credits are set on an annual basis.
Do you stop sending when there are no more credits?
Yes, but we have an automated system that informs you that you are running our of credits. This may happen if you have many phone number recipients and may require you to extend credits. Please contact us to know the fee options.
Can I refund my unused credits or carried over to the next year renewal?
No, this is not refundable and cannot be carried over to the next year renewal.
Reports & Recipients
How are automated reports disseminated?
The automated reports are disseminated based on the data parameters and pre-defined report templates available in the system.
What are the type of automated reports?
Event Triggered report are based on programmed thresholds. An example is a Tropical Cyclone Pre-Disaster Risk Assessment Report that is sent via email in a pre-defined format. It only activates when there is a Tropical Cyclone event.
Scheduled Daily Report are sent on a fixed daily schedule based on the user. An example is a Daily Weather Risk Analysis Report sent via email in a pre-defined format. It sends a report every 6:00AM and 6:00 PM daily.
Can I add more report templates or ask for a customized report?
Yes you can add more report templates but this may require additional fees. We can also do a custom report for a minimal one time fee. Please contact us to know the fee options.
How many email recipients allowed and can I add more recipients?
There are set email recipients allowed depending on your license package. Yes you can add recipients, but this may require additional fees. Please contact us to know the fee options.
